Over 400 grocery stores have a Nordic Ecolabel licence in Sweden. They have fulfilled our criteria and are on a daily basis improving their environmental standard.

A grocery store can do many things. In our Nordic Ecolabelled stores they only use Ecolabelled products when they clean. They train their personnel in environmental issues, and we at Ecolabelling Sweden have produced a web training kit to help them do this.
They also actively reduce their energy usage, and you can see examples of this at the cold counters that are covered to help save energy. They also recycle and sort their refuse. Organic food and Ecolabelled products can easily be found on their shelves
