  1. An easy way to make a real difference

At this moment the United Nations is negotiating climate issues in Doha, negotiations that are crucial for a sustainable future. By choosing Nordic Ecolabel or EU Ecolabel products and services, you can make your own responsible contribution to a sustainable society. These internationally well-known Ecolabels have criteria for, among other things, energy usage in the production of paper, grocery stores, and buildings.

This year Ecolabelling Sweden is participating in the EU Climate Action Campaign, whose purpose is to bring attention through this campaign "A world you like. With a climate you like." to the climate issue in EU countries.

"I believe that many people feel frustration about the climate issue and are not quite sure what they can do about it. Therefore it is very satisfying that the EU has decided to focus on this vital issue with this campaign. Our company is one of the participants because we believe we represent strong Ecolabels, and the products and services that are awarded these Ecolabels have complied with our stringent criteria, many of which directly focus on climate-related processes."

CEO Ragnar Unge continues:

"By choosing Ecolabelled products and services one can make a real difference. It is a responsible yet fairly easy choice to promote a healthier environment and a more sustainable society. There are thousands of products to choose between, showing the vast range of companies who actively are promoting a more sustainable world."

Today there are 6500 Nordic Ecolabelled products and services in the Swedish market, and EU Ecolabel has 27 product categories.

"For more than 20 years Nordic Ecolabelling has taken small but important steps in contributing to a vast range of Ecolabelled products in not only the Nordic countries, but even throughout the world. Our goal is to continue this important work, and to provide the marketplace with a wider assortment of Ecolabelled products and services in the next 20 years", says CEO Ragnar Unge.
