Isko™, premium denim producer in Turkey was highlighting green young design in the Denim Design Award during the Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2017.
Gunn-Helen Øye, Nordic Ecolabelling, was there to celebrate the young talents. “I am so happy to see that sustainability is in the mindset of these great young designers, who will be behind the jeans of tomorrow” Gunn-Helen Øye says.
Ten talents from Isko I-Skool 2016 showed their designs in a competition for the Denim Design Award. “This is a competition for the cutting-edge talent contest dedicated to fashion and marketing students from all over the world. We believe that change is not possible without education”says Marco Lucietti, Global Marketing Director Sanko/Isko division.
Isko is celebrating 4th edition of i-Skool this year. “Our vision is to transfer denim knowledge to young fashion designers, thus providing a pool of denim talent to the industry. Student designs at Isko denim design award during the Copenhagen Fashion Summit proved that sustainable fashion does not have to be boring, it can be on-trend, fashionable and fun.” said Kutay Saritosun, Senior CSR Executive.
Isko Earth Fit™ is the green platform by Isko™ that has managed to obtain the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel, for several of the platform’s products. “We at Isko are proud to be the first and only denim mill in the world to have received these groundbreaking certifications” says Marco Lucietti, Global Marketing Director Director Sanko/Isko division.
“At the Nordic Ecolabelling we are so excited to see this jeans boom happening now, a lot thanks to the hard work of Isko™. We see labelled jeans at Cubus, Velour by Nostalgi, Carling jeans to mention some of them. So finally the brands respond to what the consumers ask for- sustainable fashion” Gunn-Helen Øye says.
Isko™ is one of the main supporters of the Copenhagen Fashion Summit which took place 10 to 11th of May. “This is the-place-to-be for new and sustainability-oriented methods and approaches that will change the global industry, conscientiously” says Marco Lucietti, Global Marketing Director Director Sanko/Isko division.
